About Tim Bone:
Ballarat’s own Tim Bone rose to fame in 2019, becoming one of MasterChef Australia’s favourite contestants with his flair for food and down-to-earth personality. He reached the top four in Season 11 and returns for another shot at the coveted title in the 2025 “Back To Win” season.
Following his success on the show, Tim pursued his food dream by starting Tim’s Toasties, renowned for its gourmet toasted sandwiches made with seasonal, locally-sourced produce and high-quality sourdough bread. For half a decade, Tim’s Toasties operated as a mobile business, frequenting local farmers markets, regional events and private catering. In 2025, Tim's Toasties opened its first flagship bricks and mortar store and is now set in a cozy location in the heart of Delacombe, less than 10 minutes from the centre of Ballarat.
Beyond the press, Tim also co-hosts Channel 10’s popular daytime cooking show, Good Chef Bad Chef and often appears on 3BA and ABC radio to talk about all things food-related - both locally and beyond!
This year, as the face of the Heritage Harvest Weekend, Tim will present some of the region’s best produce through engaging cooking demonstrations. These include a Mystery Box challenge using diverse market and garden ingredients along with local specialties, creating a luxurious dessert featuring our famous Raspberry Drop, and an outstanding fire-based cookout.
